How this tool works. The estimator divides your highest-quarter wages by 26 and rounds down to the whole dollar, bounded by the statutory minimum ($32) and maximum ($275) weekly benefit amounts in Fla. Stat. §443.111(3). Your total claim is the lesser of 25% of your base-period wages or your weekly benefit times the year’s duration — 12 weeks for claims submitted in 2026, because Florida’s average unemployment rate for the third quarter of 2025 was at or below 5% (§443.111(5); U.S. DOL). The eligibility check applies §443.111(2): wages in at least two quarters, base-period wages of at least 1.5× the high quarter, and at least $3,400 total.
Limitations. This is a calculation, not a determination. Non-monetary requirements (job loss through no fault of your own, able and available for work, biweekly certification through the Reconnect portal, and the required number of weekly work-search contacts under §443.091) also apply and are assessed by FloridaCommerce. One unpaid waiting week applies. This tool does not cover partial benefits, federal extensions, or Disaster Unemployment Assistance.
