Florida Unemployment Benefits Calculator

Applies Fla. Stat. § 443.111: weekly benefit amount = 1/26 of your highest base-period quarter, rounded down, from $32 to $275; total benefits = the least of 25% of base-period wages, $6,325 or the weekly amount times the weeks set by the unemployment rate (12 now); in a part-time week, earnings above 8 times the federal minimum wage ($58) are deducted. Estimates only — FloridaCommerce determines actual amounts.

How this tool works. Your base period is the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters (Fla. Stat. § 443.036). To qualify you need wages in at least two of those quarters and base-period wages of at least 1.5 times your highest quarter and at least $3,400 (§ 443.111(2)). Your weekly amount is 1/26 of your highest quarter, rounded down, between $32 and $275 (§ 443.111(3)). Your total is 25% of base-period wages, $6,325 or your weekly amount times the weeks available, whichever is least, rounded down (§ 443.111(5)). In a part-time week, earnings above 8 times the federal hourly minimum wage are subtracted and the result is rounded down (§ 443.111(4)); with the federal minimum at $7.25, that allowance is $58.

Limitations. This is a calculation, not a determination. It does not model separation issues, the one-week unpaid waiting period, the weekly work search (five employer contacts in most counties) or reemployment services. Florida law defines no alternate base period, so the tool uses only the standard one.
