Applies Indiana’s benefit formula (IC 22-4-12-2), the three base-period wage tests (IC 22-4-14-5) and the $100 part-time disregard (IC 22-4-5-1) to the wages you enter. Estimates only — DWD determines actual amounts.
How this tool works. Your weekly benefit is 47% of your total base-period wages divided by 52, rounded down to the dollar, up to $390 — the cap reached at $43,149 of base-period wages. To qualify, base-period wages must total at least $4,200, include at least $2,500 in the last two quarters, and equal at least 1.5 times your highest quarter. Your maximum benefit amount is the lesser of 26 times your weekly benefit or 28% of base-period wages, reduced to 75% after a first disqualifying separation. In a part-time week, the first $100 of earnings is ignored and each dollar above $100 reduces the payment by a dollar.
Limitations. This is a calculation, not a determination. DWD also decides separation issues, availability and work search (two activities a week), and the first claimed week is an unpaid waiting week. Repeated disqualifying separations reduce the maximum further (to 85% and then 90% of the prior amount). The tool does not cover extended benefits, Disaster Unemployment Assistance or combined-wage claims across states.
